Hearts of Oak defeated lower side, Ebony FC by 2-1 scoreline in their second club friendly on friday afternoon after they had brushed off Asokwa Deportivo by 3-0 scoreline.
The Phobians are still preparing for the upcoming season. They are are currently in the Ashanti Region for the second phase of their pre-season training after leaving Accra on Monday.
The Ghanaian giants defeated Asokwa Deportivo earlier today through Samuel Inkoom, Junior Kaaba and Isaac Mensah.
The Phobians were solid again as they went on to see off Ebony FC as part of preparations.
They recorded a second consecutive win of the day courtesy of Faisal Adams and their new striker, Lina.
Samuel Boadu, having played against Asokwa Deportivo with the senior side, he introduced his second side with the mixture of Richmond Ayi, Isaac Mensah, Agyenim Boateng, Enoch Asubonteng and Daniel Kordie to face Ebony.
The team will wrap up their preparations for the new season on Sunday against GPL side, Bibiani Gold Stars before they en route to square off against Aduana Stars in Dormaa in the GPL opener.

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah has opened up working with Eric Ofori Antwi and Richmond Ayi ahead of the new season.
Attah, who made the Black Stars squad for AFCON 2021 will face a tough competition from Ofori Antwi and Richmond Ayi in the upcoming campaign.
Ofori Antwi, a former Asante Kotoko joined the Phobians in the just ended window after leaving Legon Cities at the end of last season and is expected to fight for a place in the starting lineup.
Ayi on the other proved his worth in the absence of Richard Attah while at national camp.
Despite the presence of the duo, Attah says they are working for the success of Hearts of Oak.
“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success” he tweeted.
Hearts Of Oak played their second pre-season game in the Ashanti Region this morning against lower-tier side Asokwa Deportivo.
The Phobians defeated Asokwa Deportivo 3-0. Goals from Cameroonian forward Junior Kaaba, Samuel Inkoom and Isaac Mensah ensured the FA Cup champions picked a win.

Asante Kotoko has announced the signing of Rocky Dwamena.
The youngster joins the Ghana Premier League champions from KHaris Sports Academy.
The club announced in a post, “?? ??? ??????? ?? ??????? ?ℎ? ??????? ?? ????? ???????? ?????????, ????? ??????? ?? ? ?ℎ???-???? ???? ???? ?????? ?????? ???????”.
The 18-year-old becomes the latest addition to the squad as the Porcupine Warriors look to strengthen the team ahead of the next season and their Africa campaign.
Dwamena has been rated highly by the club and was handed a three year contract after impressing the technical team.
He was part of the squad that travel to Sudan for preseason.

Asante Kotoko will begin their 2022/23 season’s campaign with RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on Friday, 9th September, 2022 in Ivory Coast.
Three clubs – Akyem Kotoku Royals, FC Samartex 1996 and Berekum Chelsea – will start the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League (GPL) campaign at their alternative match venues following the rejection of their traditional grounds by the Licensing Committee in its latest review.
FC Samartex’s Nsekyire Sports Arena and the Akyem Oda Sports Stadium were deemed as under construction due to the non-completion of the very major aspects of the match venue.
Berekum Chelsea’s home venue, the Golden City Park, was also deemed non-satisfactory after failing to meet certain laid down requirements and recommendations sent to them since last season.
The three clubs have the opportunity to request a re-inspection on September 25.
The Licensing Department shall not conduct re-inspections of GPL venues until this said date of September 25.
The venues shall be updated on September 26 before the match-day 4 matches of the GPL.
The remaining 15 clubs have been granted conditional approval to use their home venues pending the completion of certain aspects as identified shortfalls during the inspection before September 6.
There shall be a final spot-check inspection from September 30 to ascertain if clubs have maintained the standards, especially for the state of the pitch. Should the Licensing committee establish non-compliance or drop in standards, the particular match venue shall be revoked.

Premier League Referees and Assistant Referees will begin a 3- day training program at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram for the 2022/23 season.
The Referees are to report on Friday, September 2 for the training which ends on Monday, September 5, 2022. In all, forty (45) Referees and (45) Assistant Referees will take part in the course to understand the new concept for Referees and Assistant Referees and also YOYO Endurance test which accesses their fitness levels.
There will also be physical and practical training, emphasizing on positioning, reading and anticipation through gates 1&2 on the penalty area to analyse fouls (actions 1,2,3 & 4).
Some practical training programs have also been designed for these Referees to undertake some high runs and engage in open play situations to recognize the various gates and action points. The Technical Instructors include Richard Attifu, Seidu Bomison, Christine Ziga and Thomas Nunoo.
The physical instructors are, Anthony Tetteh-Opai, Augustina Fugah and Vivian Aggor. The course is under the supervision of GFA Referees Manager, Alexander Kotey.

The Phobians inflicted a 3-0 win over the lower-tier side at the Paa Joe Park in Kumasi on Friday morning.
Goals from Cameroonian striker Junior Kaaba, Samuel Inkoom and Isaac Mensah propelled the Ghanaian giants to victory.
They are expected to take on Kumasi Ebony FC this afternoon at the Paa Joe Park.

The Former Black Stars captain has expressed his desire and wish to play at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in an interview with the BBC.
Gyan’s wish to play at the Mundial has generated a lot of conversations in the public space on whether if he should be given the opportunity for the last time or even ignored.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM on the subject matter, the Member of Parliament for Asunafo North said,
“If he improves his fitness and we can take him, I will support it. At the world stage he has the experience”, he said on Wamputu Sports.
“The Plan B could be that if we help him to score at the World Cup he extends his World Cup record which also gives Ghana more mileage. He has that fear factor which many countries know off. But it all bows down to the technical team to select him. We at the Sports Ministry are concerned about policy direction and not selecting players”, he added.
Asante Kotoko major problem last season was the rate at which injuries sets in the team when they were on the verge of winning their league 24th title.
Most of their players didn’t take part in their second phase of their preseason tour in Sudan as they were responding to treatment in the injury room.
The Cameroonian duo who were sidelined due to injury have recovered fully and will join their other teamates according to reports in the media.
