Ghana and Berekum Chelsea midfielder, Jordan Opoku claimed he has football witchcraft which aids him to play better.

He says before a ball comes to him, he has already thought of where he will pass the ball to and plays his games on the bed before matchdays.

“I have witchcraft but I only use it in football. Every day it is always perfect and happens automatically. Before the ball comes to me, I know where I’ll pass the ball to. I play my games while asleep before the matchday”, he told Television CK in an interview.

The former Feyenoord and Royal Antwerp midfielder further explained why he doesn’t get tired in games is because he doesn’t delay with the ball at his feet and gives simple passes.

“When a ball comes to me, I control and pass that’s why I don’t get tired. My position I play I don’t think any home-based player is better than me. I’m a football magician and can use the ball to do anything I want.”

Jordan Opoku had a nomadic playing career; he played for clubs in Netherland, Ukraine, UAE, and played for Feyenoord Ghana, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and now Berekum Chelsea in Ghana.

Opoku made his debut for the Black Stars in 2009 in a friendly against Argentina and has since played nine games for the Ghana national team.

Acting Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Yaw Adu has revealed that the club will not decide against Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s ban on recruiting new players into the club.

The Life Patron of the club, Asantehene placed an embargo on player sightings for one football season last month during the inauguration of the new board members of the club.

While others have hailed Otumfuo’s decision, a section of the football fraternity has spoken against such practice.

The Ghana Football Association Executive Council approved recently for Kotoko to represent Ghana in next season’s Caf Champions League, and many believe there will be the need to augment the team’s squad.

But Mr. Joseph Yaw Adu, a former Sports Director of University of Science and Technology has insisted that, the club will not go against the team owner’s words.

“Ɔpemsoɔ has spoken so we will not go against his words,” Asante Kotoko acting CEO Mr. Joseph Yaw Adu told Sikka FM.

He also disclosed that the Porcupine Warriors are yet to receive an official communique on their approval to compete in Africa next season.

Items donated include foodstuffs, toiletries, brand new wheelchair, mattress, radio, etc which worth GHc4,000 plus a cash component of Ghc2,000 and a customized Asante Kotoko jersey from Strike Ghana at his residence at Atonsu Feyiase in Kumasi.

Newly appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Joseph Yaw Adu began work at the secretariat on Tuesday.

He has been appointed, together with other four members to steer the day-to-day activities of the club until a substantive CEO is announced.

The stopgap Management being led by Mr. Joseph Yaw Adu will work until Prof. Lydia Nkansah led committee finish their work to details appropriately the structures of Asante Kotoko SC.

Former Hearts of Oak trainer, Mohammed Polo has accused the management during his spell as head coach of the side, of using the players to sabotage him.

The ex-Ghana international was at the helm of coaching at the club during the 2013/14 Ghana Premier League season, but got sacked after failing miserably.

Polo replaced David Duncan – who was shockingly dismissed after a fantastic start to the season. The supporters of the Phobians protested against the removal of Duncan for club legend Mohammed Polo.

The outspoken coach – who has blamed everyone including David Duncan, apart from himself has claimed he failed at Hearts because he was sabotaged by the players he worked with.

“I was sabotaged by Hearts Of Oak players before my sack. The club used the players to sabotage me before my sack,” Mohammed Polo told Kumasi-based Sikka FM.

He disclosed that the players who orchestrated his sacking have apologised to him.

“The players who sabotaged me came to apologize for igniting my sack. They are now finding difficulties in their career because of their sadism”.

Executives of The Ghana League Clubs Association [GHALCA]  has written to the Ghana Football Association demanding their share of players transfers made by the Football Association.

According to a letter cited by Oyerepa FM in Kumasi, Ghalca is asking the Ghana FA to account for its share of the numerous transfers made within the association over the time.

Ghalca is entitled to 5% of the 10% transfer shares charged by the GFA in cases of International transfers made within the Ghanaian jurisdiction.

According to Ghalca, the Ghana FA has failed to make accounts of the funds pre-dating the Kwesi Nyantakyi era, and believe it time for the Ghana FA to account and make available the shares of the clubs.

The Ghana FA regulations allows the association to collect 10% of all transfer fees as captured in Article 32[5][c] of the premier League and division one league regulations.

“Ten (10) percent of all training and transfer fees in respect of external transfers, shall be paid into a Football Development Fund as follows: (i) five (5) percent shall be paid to the GFA. (ii) five (5) percent shall be paid to the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA). Where the player involved is a Juvenile, GHALCA’s 5 percent share shall be paid to the National Juvenile Committee”.

In its football report for 2019, FIFA reported that Ghana transferred 229 players to other leagues.

with their letter, Ghalca is seeking for the FA to reconcile their accounts to enable the clubs welfare body to have their 5% shares of the transfer fees.

Ghana Premier League side Ashanti Gold have signed a three-year deal with UK-based kit manufacturing firm iGimel Sports wear according to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

The Miners were kitted by Pokoo in the cancelled 2019-20 season, but the contract got abrogated after the manufacturers failed to honour their part of the contract, hence the decision to sign a new sponsorship deal with iGimel.

However, the Miners will not have the opportunity to use their products until the resumption of football as football activities in the West African country continue to be on hold due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The report further stated that the hierarchy of the four-time Ghana Premier League winners are satisfied with the terms of the deal between the two entities.

Ashgold will represent Ghana in next season’s Caf Confederation Cup after the Ghana Football Association Executive Council annulled the 2019-20 football season on health grounds.

Newly appointed AshantiGold coach, Roerto Landi , says he will use his expertise to assist the technical team to make exploits in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Landi is yet to commence his duties as the head of the Miners as he is still locked in Italy due to the closure of Ghana borders due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The government plans to review the ban on July 31, 2020.

The Obuasi-based club has been given the nod to represent Ghana in the next season’s Caf Confederations Cup, and Landi told Oyerepa FM Sports that he has been keeping in touch with the playing body and Technical Team to prepare them for the task ahead.

According to him, he has a lot to offer to ensure Ashgold does better than what they did in their previous campaign.

“I am waiting for the boarders of Ghana to be opened so i can return but i have being keeping in touch with my players, other technical team members and hope they are tarining as I have scheduled for them,” Roberto Landi tells Oyerepa FM Sports from his base in Italy.

He also disclosed that they have agreed to augment the squad with new signings.

“We want to do better than what AshGold did last time in Confederations, we will do our best but hope COVID-19 does not affect us. I wish i was in Ghana to monitor their training. We will add new players especially those who will give revenue to club.”
