Chairman of the National Chapters Committee – supporters wing of Hearts Of Oak, Elvis Hesse Herman has disclosed that members of the supporter’s group have not been contributing to aid the running of the association.
According to him, they have had to run the NCC from the pockets of the leaders because the members of the association have not been paying their dues for the past 8 years.
He said 70% of the dues from the NCC is channelled to the club hierarchy.
Elvis Hesse Herman who was responding to a wide range of issues on Oyerepa FM said:
“For Over 8 years Hearts supporters have not paid dues, we run NCC from our pockets, the club gets about 70% of our dues but for this reason, we have not been able to contribute to the club.”
They have so far confirmed former deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association Emmanuel Dasoberi as Administrative and Operations Manager, Moses Antwi Benefo as the Communications Manager and marketing guru David Obeng Nyarko as the Special Assistant of the Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah.
Communication team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party Eric Amoako Twum has also been appointed as the club’s Commercial Manager.
The National Chapters Committee Chairman of Hearts Of Oak, Elvis Hesse Herman has insisted that all stakeholders of the club are to be blamed for the club’s recent struggles and not the board chairman alone.
Since Togbe Afede XIV became the board chairman of the Rainbow Club in the past decade, they have struggled to achieve something meaningful on and off the field.
The club has not been able to win the domestic top-flight for the past ten years.

A section of the supporters of the club believes Togbe is the reason why the club has failed as his reign has seen several managerial lapses.
They have accused Togbe Afede XIV, who is the highest shareholder of issued shares of hijacking the club making it difficult for others to share their opinions.
But Elvis Hesse Herman, who represents the supporters on the board has indicated that all stakeholders have not played their roles well.
“I admit we have not done enough for the past 10 years of Togbe’s reign. We have not played our roles well, ” Elvis Hesse Herman told Oyerepa 100.7FM Thursday morning.
“We cannot blame Togbe alone. All of us are to be blamed for the club’s woes. I think we expected much from Togbe and it’s just unfortunate.”
He also stated that it is not true the current Hearts board is a rubber stamp kind as they deliberate on issues before decisions are taken.
Ghana maintained 46th position on the latest FIFA World Ranking released for the month of September.
The Black Stars accrued 1439 points to maintain the spot on the latest ranking released by the world football governing body.
On the African continent, the Black stars placed 6th on the log.
There were no major changes in the ranking released due to the inactivity caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Ghana were scheduled to play a doubleheader in March against Sudan in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier but the game was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The four-time African champions will return to action, for the first time under new coach, C.K Akonnor in November against Sudan, following the approval of the resumption dates for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers by the Confederation of African Football, CAF.
Meanwhile, as part of preparations for their qualifying matches the Black Stars are expected to engage in international friendly matches next month.
Zamalek’s French head coach Patrice Carteron has surprisingly resigned after less than a year in charge of the Whites.
In shocking news to many of the Whites’ fans, French manager Carteron has decided to call an end to his time in Cairo, resigning from his role as Zamalek manager.
The decision to resign is rumoured to make way for Carteron to take over the vacant head coach position at rivals Pyramids FC or Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca, who parted company with Juan Carlos Garrido just days ago.
However, KingFut reports that the Frenchman is heading to Saudi side Al-Taawoun, who are currently taking part in the AFC Champions League.
Carteron was appointed as Zamalek head coach last December, taking charge of the club in 31 games, winning 19 while losing only three.
He led the club to the Egyptian Super Cup title as well as the CAF Super Cup, before guiding the Whites to the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
Domestically, Zamalek sit second in the Egyptian Premier League, 20 points behind leaders Al Ahly and are in the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup, where they will face Smouha.
The club’s performances under his guidance, earned Carteron a new improved contract last June, however, the Frenchman decided to quit and will just pay the release clause, which was included in the contract.
It’s not clear yet who will succeed Carteron this season as club president Mortada Mansour will now start looking for his third managerial appointment this season.
However, according to many reports Tarek Yehia is set to be named as interim head coach to take the helm for the Whites in the upcoming weeks.
Ghana and reigning African champions Algeria have finally agreed on an international friendly in Europe this October.
Per SportyAfrica.com’s understanding, the two countries had previously held talks over such an opportunity after the Foxes won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
But the proposed game was shelved after Algeria, who wanted to host the game, refused Ghana’s [Normalization Committee] demands of some appearance fees to honour the game. Algeria went on to host West African neighbours Benin and won 1-0 on September 9, 2019.
A year on, talks are back on with both Ghana and Algeria agreeing in principle for a friendly in Europe during the Fifa dates in October to form part of their preparations towards the resumption of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for November.
But COVID-19, which disrupted the international calendar since March this year, is still creating a challenge for this friendly. Football is allowed to return under strict protocols including playing behind closed doors, something both Ghana and Algeria subscribe to for this game.
A number of countries match organizers (believed to be Evol Sport) have contacted to host this game have responded in the negative.
The Netherlands to the rescue?
France – who hosted Algeria’s last game vs Colombia – have reportedly rejected the chance to have the Ghana-Algeria encounter, likewise Switzerland and Austria for obvious reasons.
While the above-mentioned countries have said no, the Netherlands appears to give some hope as they did not give an outright negative response, at the time of this report.
Ghana and Algeria have 12 games between them at the senior level. Their last meeting was at the group stage of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. The Black Stars won 1-0.
Black Stars striker, John Antwi scored twice for Pyramids FC in their 2-0 away win at Wadi Degla FC on Wednesday evening.
The Ghana International who became the first non Egyptian player to score a century of goals in Egypt Premier League can’t stop banging in goals as he scored a brace to propel his team to a comfortable win on the road.
After a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, Antwi broke the deadlock of the match after the hour mark with a beautiful strike to make it 1-0.
Four minutes after his goal, the Ghanaian predator finisher netted his second goal in the match to make it 2-0 for the visitors.
The home team could not find their way back into the game as its finished 2-0 on the night for the Money Boys in the week 27 of the Egypt Premier League.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian striker has scored six goals with three assists in 24 games this season.
Ghanaian midfielder who plays for Egyptian top-flight side Aswan SC, Solomon Mensah is in all praise for red-hot attacker John Antwi.
John Antwi is the first foreign player to score a hundred goals in the history of the Egyptian Premier League after scoring a consolation for Pyramids FC last week when they suffered a 2-1 defeat to El-Gouna SC on the road.
The 28-year-old became the highest foreigner in the history of the Egyptian top-flight last season after bagging 63 goals to overtake another Ghanaian Ernest Papa Arko.

Solomon Mensah, who joined Aswan in January this year in a one-and-half year deal has eulogized John Antwi for his hard work dedication and consistency which has elevated him in Egyptian football.
“John is a fantastic player and I have huge respect for him. I have been keeping an eye on him longtime before I came to Egypt. To reach that height in the Egyptian League is superb because the Egyptian league is the strongest and difficult league in Africa, ” he told footy.ghpush.com/.
“Personally, what motivates me from his achievements is his dedication, hard work and consistency. His journey from Ismaily up to Pyramids – which is the richest club in Egypt, clearly define how hard work, dedication and consistency is important.
“He has been consistent and that’s what I have picked from him.”
Antwi achieved the historic record playing for four clubs in the Egyptian league.
The former Hearts Of Oak, Eleven Wise FC and Dreams FC star scored 35 goals whilst playing for Ismaily SC from 2012 to 2015.
He also netted 11 goals for Egyptian heavyweight Al Ahly SC between 2017 and 2018.
He then netted 40 goals for Misr El Makasa from August 2017 to July 2019 before moving to Pyramids FC where he has scored 14 goals since joining them.
Solomon Mensah, 27, joined Aswan as a free agent after parting ways with Lebanon side Sahel Al Shabab where he spent the 2018/2019 season making a total appearance of 13.
He was a member of the 2015 MTN FA Cup-winning squad of Bechem United. He has also had a stint with Tema Youth.
