The boss has made one change to his 18-man  squad for the Ghana Premier League trip to Ashantigold on Sunday.

Two goal hero Isaac Agyenim Boateng is suspended due to accumulated yellow cards.He has been replaced by Rashid Alhassan.That also means goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has been left out after failing to recover in time for the crunch tie against the miners.

Goalkeeper Frank Boateng makes a return to Obuasi to face his former club and will be supported by youngster Owusu Dacosta Junior.

The regular back-four comprising Samuel Appiah, Bright Enchil, Daniel Egyin and Ali Ouattara have made the trip.There are also defenders Baba Abdulai, Meschak Odoom and Rashid Alhassan making the trip to the mining town.

Midfielders Justice Blay, Richard Boadu, Rashid Nortey, Kwasi Donsu and Godfred Abban make the squad.Forwards Abass Mohammed, Kwadwo Asamoah, Joseph Tetteh-Zutah and Ebenezer Ackahbi are the remaining members of the traveling squad.

Asante Kotoko made the headlines on Wednesday following a classy performance against Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports stadium. Kotoko’s Brazilian import Fabio Gama was the star of the day as his mesmerizing skills wowed fans of the Porcupine Warriors in the 2-0 win over the scientific soccer lads. Gama was a delight to watch as he capped a fine display with two assists for the Reds.

On Sunday, they come up against WAFA at the Red Bull arena in Sogakope in a match day nine Ghana Premier League tie. On the evidence of their home form this season, the Academy boys remain the overwhelming favourites to win the game but giants Asante Kotoko cannot be written off completely.

The Sogakope-based side have won all but one of their home games this season. They seem to have a leaky defence, having conceded eight goals and one clean sheet – the 2-0 win against Berekum Chelsea in their four home matches.

Midfielder Augustine Boakye, who missed last week 1-0 defeat at Legon Cities, should be available for selection.

First choice goalkeeper Ferdinand Sabi Acquah came under a barrage of attacks after the game against Medeama SC as he was criticized for two of the goals scored by the mauves and yellows. He therefore lost his spot to Boliver Sarfo in the clash against Legon Cities but he could make a return to the starting XI for this clash.

After a shaky start to the season, Asante Kotoko seem to have come good in recent weeks following back-to-back victories against Dreams FC and Liberty professionals, interspaced with a hard earned draw (1-1) against Medeama SC in Tarkwa.

But the Porcupine Warriors have not won in Sogakope since WAFA returned to the Ghana top-flight.

Acting head coach Johnson Smith has been getting the best out of his players and remains optimistic of returning home unscathed.

Hearts of Oak seek to return to winning days on Sunday against a plucky Eleven Wonders side at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians dropped points last week on the road in a come-from-behind 1-1 draw with Elmina Sharks.

Kosta Papic received a lot of positive news in training in the build up to their next assignment.

Nigerian import Danjuma Ademola Kuti started training with the team in a bid to play his first match for the former African champions.

Also, midfield trio Emmanuel Nettey, Mamane Lawali, and Nurudeen Abdul Aziz resumed training after being sidelined by injuries.

Centre back Nuru Sulley is said to be in contention to start after injury sent him to the treatment room after the Match Day II fixture with King Faisal.

Eleven Wonders will be playing a third away game at the Accra Sports Stadium after their last trip ended in defeat to Inter Allies.

The Techiman-based have been one of the impressive sides in the Ghana top-flight and the team has not been only about  winger Salifu Ibrahim, who has won five Man-of-the-Match awards.

Centre back Rashid Mohammed and defensive midfielder Frank Amankwah have been impressive too.

Great Olympics defeated Inter Allies 2-0 in the Accra derby to bounce back to winning ways.

Both sides came into the game in bad form and needed to make a statement in this game.

Olympics started the game the better side and found themselves ahead in the 8th minute, they were awarded a spot kick after Desmond Abuga tripped his opponent in the box. Maxwell Nii Abbey Quaye stepped up and beat goalkeeper Rashid Seidu.

Nii Quaye grabbed his second on the 80th minute after the Dade Boys were awarded a penalty.
