Medeama SC’s Ghana Premier League encounter with relegation-threatened King Faisal has been called-off.
The officials called off the game following a heavy downpour a few minutes to the game at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
The Yellow and Mauves were welcoming the Isha Allah boys in a match-day 30 battle.
The match officials decided to call off the match due to the unplayable nature of the pitch caused by the rains.
Per the rules of the game, the fixture will schedule to come off tomorrow at the same venue at 9 AM.

Former Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals striker, Bernard Arthur has signed for Saudi Arabia lower tier side, Taweek FC.
The 24-year-old penned a deal to stay with the club for the next two seasons.
The former Feyenoord now WAFA striker confirmed his move to Africa-foot.com.

Arthur’s rich domestic experience include stints at the then Feyenoord now West Africa Football Academy.

His move outside Ghana has seen him play for Tanzanian club, Azam FC and Algerian side, Aïn M’lila.

League leaders Accra Hearts of Oak have a tough test against one of the most improved sides in the League Legon Cities on match day 30 of the Ghana Premier League at the Len Clay stadium on Thursday.
The two teams have improved tremendously in the last six weeks with Legon Cities moving from the base of the table to an appreciable 9th place. They have won five and lost three since April 25 when they drew 1-1 with Dreams FC in Accra.
Coach Bashir Hayford’s men picked wins against Ebusua Dwarfs (3-0), AshantiGold (1-0), Aduana FC (2-0), Liberty Professionals (2-1) and Inter Allies (1-0) before slumping to Asante Kotoko (1-0), WAFA (1-0) and Karela United (2-0). Jonah Attuquae is back from International duty with the Black Meteors and is available for selection.
Experienced signings Justice Anane, Baba Mahama, Cephas Doku, Hans Kwofie, Elvis Opoku and Victorien Adebayor have played above themselves and carried the team on their shoulders especially in the second round – reason for their resurgence.
Accra Hearts of Oak have won six and drawn one in their last seven Premier League matches. The Phobians have not lost a game since Sunday, May 2 when they lost 2-0 to Dreams FC at Dawu – the only game that they failed to score in their last eight Premier League outings.
Hearts of Oak are top of the League table with 53 points – 15 points ahead of Legon Cities who are 9th in the table. Hearts of Oak put four goals passed lower tier side Windy Professionals in the MTN FA Cup on Sunday and are buoyed by that resounding victory heading into the fixture – having registered 17 goals across competitions since May.

Asante Kotoko have gone eight matches without defeat (5 wins, 3 draws) scoring 12 goals and conceding seven in the process – only Hearts of Oak have scored more in their last eight Premier League outings (13). Their last League defeat was on Saturday, April 24 when they gave away an early lead to lose 2-1 to Medeama SC – the only loss since their move from Accra to Obuasi.
The Porcupine Warriors have been on fire in their last two games scoring six goals in all competitions – (3-2) against Inter Allies and (3-1) against Thunderbolt FC in the MTN FA Cup.
On player update, Coach Mariano Baretto is spoilt for choice at left back following the return of Moro Ibrahim from International assignment with the Black Meteors. League top scorer Diawusie Taylor is expected to give them a lift after returning home from the Asian Tour with the Black Meteors. Taylor scored on Sunday in their 2-1 loss to Medeama SC in the MTN FA Cup.

The public must also take note that only 25% of admission of spectators will be given access to the stadium as per the permission granted to Ghana Football Association by government to play football in the country.

Week four of the ongoing Ghana Cricket Association’s President’s Invitational T20 League at the Achimota Ovals saw a rained of match between Karizma and Salt n’ Pepper on Sunday, June 20, 2021.
Salt n’ Pepper had scored 40 runs for 2 wickets in 5 overs when the rain started. Naik Bheem scored 21/12 not out and Kofi Bagabena scored 14/13 not out in the first quarter of the first innings on Oval A.
In the bowling figures, Amoluk Singh took 1 wicket, given away 29 runs in 3 overs while Aqeel Israr Syed took 1 wicket, given away 11 runs in 2 overs.
With both Clubs agreeing to halt the game, according to the playing conditions of the league, the fixture will be played after all matches have been honored.

On Oval B, Supreme Cricket Club went 4 straight wins and maintained their spot at the top of the table with 8 points, after seeing off Don Bruce Cricket Club.

Legon Cities head coach Bashir Hayford says the pressure is on Hearts Of Oak to deliver against his side in their matchday 30 fixture which comes off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.
The Phobians will be hoping to record a win against the Royals to maintain the top spot before their crucial encounter against rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Hearts have been impressive under Coach Samuel Boadu. They are unbeaten in their last six games, winning five and drawing one.
They occupy the first position with 53 points, same as Asante Kotoko who are second on the log ahead of the mid-week games before the Super Clash on Sunday.
Coach Bashir Hayford has told the press that his side is ready to win on the day as Hearts are under pressure to win at all cost because of their game against Kotoko.
“The pressure is on Hearts of Oak but not us. They are worried because they have two quick matches to play and I can feel the pain of Samuel Boadu.”
“This is my 13th club as a head coach and I have never been afraid of any club. Hearts is a big club but I am not scared of them. The players on the pitch have to do the talking.”
Hayford also called on their supporters to disregard reports that his players have been bribed.
“The difficulty of this game lies in the speculations coming out. This a game we are fully focused on winning but people are having their own perception about it. I think this dumps the spirit of the boys considering the way they are preparing for it. I want to state on record that we have not sold the match and never are we going to do so.”
