Former Ghana midfielder Charles Taylor has named four coaches who can handle Hearts of Oak at the moment.

The Phobians are currently without a coach following the sacking of the former Medeama SC gaffer and his backroom staff last week.

Speaking on Onua TV, Taylor expressed his disappointment about the dismissal of Samuel Boadu as he strongly believes he is one of the four coaches at the moment capable of leading the rainbow boys.

“At the moment, only Samuel Boadu, Bismarck Kobby Mensah, Annor Walker and Prosper Narteh Ogum can handle Hearts of Oak because they know how to position players on the field on play. They are coaches who can bring the best out of players. So apart from them, I don’t think no other coach in the country can handle the club.” He told Onua TV.

Hearts of Oak have appointed David Dickson Ocloo as an assistant but will act as a stop-gap coach until a substantive trainer is appointed.

Former Hearts of Oak forward, Laryea Kingston says the decision to sack its coach, Samuel Boadu was too hasty.

The Phobians parted ways with the 36-year-old trainer and his backroom staff just three games into the current season where they have picked only two points.

They are away in Mali against AS Real Bamako on October 8 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup and Laryea says the club will face challenges despite appointing assistant, David Ocloo.

“I think it will be too late for them because definitely every new coach that comes in, the players have to get used to what he is bringing on board and also he has to get used to the players.

“Also he has to understudy the players well and then you know that if you are putting up a formation, you know that this player’s stew is this and all that.

“For me I think it’s too late, I don’t think it’s good to choose a coach now, I think it’s going to affect them big time.

“But sometimes football is strange, a new coach can come in and he will start getting results but definitely I don’t think the players will be comfortable with what he is bringing on board.

“He needs time, it will take time for the players to get used to but the situation that Hearts of Oak find themselves, they don’t have any option than to find someone that can lead the team.

“I think that’s what they’ve done but I think it will be very good to have maintained Samuel Boadu because they know what is at stake.

“They know that they are in Africa and the league as well so it will be good to maintain Samuel Boadu so that in the second round, they take that decision.” Laryea Kingston told Adamu Muftawu of Radio Gold Talk Sport.

In the said match, player Michael Ampadu was seen physically assaulting the center referee, Charles Benle Bulu by punching his mouth on the field of play.

Other officials of the club, Salifu Yaya and Kwabena Asenso Onyina were seen verbally attacking the match officials while on their way to the dressing room and also attempted to physically attack the referees.
