Following the decision of the Executive Council to resume the betPawa Premier League after the dismissal of the injunction application and engagements with the 18 Premier League clubs, dates for Matchday 4 – Matchday 8 of the betPawa Premier League has been revised.
The Premier League will take a break during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals scheduled for November 20 to December 18, 2022.

Hearts of Oak defeated rivals Liberty Professionals by 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon in a friendly at the Valley View University Park.
New coach of the side, Slavko Matic used the game as a preparatory clash ahead of the resumption of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League this weekend.
The Phobians scored the goals through Kwadwo Obeng Junior and Congolese import Don Linda Mtange.
Hearts of Oak will battle Bibiani Goldstars Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in match-week 4.

Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko star Charles Taylor has called for the sacking of Black Stars coach Otto Addo with less than a month to the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars have toiled under Otto Addo after securing qualification to the Mundial.
He has managed two wins, drawn four and lost twice since his appointment in March.
They lost 3-0 to Brazil and struggled to a slender 1-0 win over Nicaragua.
According to Taylor, Adfo will not make any meaningful impact and should be sacked before the start of the tournament next month.
“I have said for Otto Addo, he is not a coach to lead Ghana to the World Cup. Because he has the team all right but he does not know how to organize them,” he told Angel TV.
“So we should rather look for those who can put the team together so that the players who are actively playing will be handed the start while those who are not playing actively will be on the bench,” he added.
Ghana has been housed in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has commented on the Casemiro-Thomas Partey comparison, claiming that the Brazil star is better than Ghana’s deputy captain.

He was then pressed on a comparison with Partey and said: “Partey is a really good player. He’s been really good. He’s not the right player to play holding midfielder for Man Utd. We’re talking about a player with many rungs up, many rungs.
“It’s like saying before we had Fred and McTominay in the CDM position, would you not have taken Partey? Well, yes, I would have, but what does that prove? All I’m saying is we’re talking about Casemiro against Partey, and it’s not a competition.”
Both players will play for their respective countries in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
I decline to go into the merits or demerits of whatever necessitated the suspension of the betPawa Premier League. The issues are well known. Therefore instead of being on what would be a needlessly tiresome recall of Ashantigold’s troubles and the court issues, energies would be expended well in sharing my joy over the league’s comeback.
I’m glad because this is the game we love and having it hanging in court, not knowing its return was a pain. Our football has suffered too from legal tussles and how disappointing it was that, just when we were navigating safely from that pit, a stump pulled us back.

No sane, well-trained, properly mannered, civilised journalist; talk less as young as I’m, would waste precious time on negative, unproductive agenda.
I would defend Kotoko’s interest, the Board and the Management purely as a matter of principle but then based on factual analysis as a journalist. Cheap, vile propaganda coupled with wanton disregard for common sense would intimidate no one. Let’s return to what we love most for it’s back. Popular Ghanaian gospel musician, Sonnie Badu is advocating for the inclusion of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in the final Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
According to him, the talented Hearts of Oak forward has done enough in the past year and should be given a place in the national team.
“Dear Coach Otto Addo and @ghana_fa_official , we are praying for you.
“We know you are doing all you can to make us proud. In this light. I highly recommend the inclusion of this local based play… @afriyiebdaniel he has proven beyond doubt that he is capable and he has been very instrumental.
“This young man was part of the U20-won Wafu and afcon is part U23 – now playing the qualifies he actually scored both goals.
“Black stars B which is black galaxy; qualified for Chan and Black stars as well, his inclusion in the World Cup team will be great .. I pray for the Lords blessing and wisdom on you all,” Sonnie Badu posted on his Instagram page.
Already, sources have disclosed that Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been included in the 55-man provisional squad presented by Ghana coach Otto Addo to FIFA.
It is however unclear if he will be included in the final 26-man squad.
Ex-Asante Kotoko midfielder, Daniel Nii Adjei says he will be glad to coach his former club in the future.
Nii Adjei has called on active football having had an illustrious career in Ghana and other parts of the continent.
The 34-year-old has completed his CAF License D badge with the C and B courses in the offing.
Nii Adjei spoke to Adamu Muftawu of Radio Gold Talk Sport.
“I will be glad if it comes to pass. I will thank God for that.” Daniel Nii Adjei told Radio Gold Talk Sport.
Nii Adjei previously played professionally played for Asante Kotoko where he won the domestic title in the 2012/13 season.
He was on the list of Congo giant, TP Mazembe in a CAF Champions League feat in 2014/15 season.
His last trophy winning feat was the CAF Super Cup with Morocco club, Wydad Athletic Club in 2017/18 season.
He previously played for Kumasi King Faisal and relegated Elmina Sharks before hanging his boots.
Former President, John Dramani Mahama believes it will be a sweet revenge if Ghana beat Uruguay after the two countries were paired in the Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Black Stars were eliminated by the two-time champions on penalties in South Africa, having seen Asamoah Gyan miss an extra-time spot-kick after Luis Suarez was sent off for handball.
Ghana, who make a return to the tournament after missing out on the 2018 edition in Russia take on Portugal in their first game in Group H on November 24 before playing South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.
“Unfortunately, we are in a Group of death. The teams in our Group are the strongest and look at what faith has made, bringing Uruguay into our Group again,” former President Mahama said as quoted by ghanafa.org.
“It will be sweet revenge if we score them and so even if you don’t beat anybody, just beat Uruguay for me and lets pay Suarez back for what he did to us.”
Black Stars will play Switzerland in an International friendly on November 17, before travelling to Qatar for the World Cup.
