Black Stars new jersey for 2026 FIFA World Cup pops up

By: Bernard Nyankomago Kwasi

footy.ghpush.com/ has spotted a new jersey believed to be the home attire for the Black Stars of Ghana when they storm USA and Canada for their 2026 FIFA World Cup matches.

The jersey is white dominated with “Ananse’s web” carrying the star on his chest. It has been circulated on the various social media platforms with Ghanaians giving diverse views over it.

While some say the new Black Stars apparel looks okay, others are also questioning the rationale behind the sudden change of jersey saying the old white and yellow design carries weight and spirit.

A lot of things have reared it’s face since the Black Stars qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup later last year.

Though it is going to be their fifth appearance at the FIFA Mundial having participated in the 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2022 editions, it looks as if the upcoming tournament has dominated much attention.

First, coach Otto Addo competence have been brought under scrutiny. Otto Addo played seven World Cup qualifiers, won six and drew one but some critics are still skeptical about his tactics and has therefore called for new technical directions.

We have also had arguments as to whether players like Hudson Oddoi, Eddie Nketia and co who rejected the Black Stars call some years back should be given the chance this time.

Now the issue of Black Stars new outfit is also trending. It is most likely that from now up to June 11, 2026 where the competition will kick off, more things will be unfolded at the Black Stars camp.

2025/26 GPL: Hohoe United hold Heart Of Lions to a stalemate

Safianu Usman endured a frustrating afternoon as he missed a second-half penalty in Hohoe United’s goalless draw with Heart of Lions in a fiercely contested Volta Regional derby at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Friday.

The home side came agonisingly close to securing a vital victory shortly after the restart when they were awarded a penalty, igniting hopes of a breakthrough in front of their supporters. Captain Safianu Usman stepped up but failed to make the opportunity count, sending his effort high over the bar and allowing Heart of Lions to escape unscathed.

Hohoe United were the more threatening side over the course of the match, creating the clearer chances and registering more shots on target. However, a lack of cutting edge in the final third proved costly as they were repeatedly denied by a well-organised and disciplined Heart of Lions defence.

The visitors, despite enjoying greater possession, found it difficult to translate their control into clear goal-scoring opportunities, with both teams largely cancelling each other out in a tense encounter.

The result leaves Hohoe United hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, sitting just one place above the drop as pressure continues to mount on their campaign.

The draw extends Lions’ steady run of form and keeps them sixth on the Premier League table, with the Kpando-based side content to return home with a valuable point from a challenging away fixture.

By: Bernard Nyankomago Kwasi

Popular renowned Prophet of God, Nigel Gaisie has prophesized that the Black Stars of Ghana will make wonders by reaching the finals of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World.

“I see the Black Stars playing a good game and reaching the finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup” he told the huge congregation at his church on 31st December 2025, all night service in Accra.

The founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel has on many occasions made prophecies on football which some have failed to come through.

The world is anxiously waiting to see whether his current prophesy on the chances of the Black Stars in USA, Canada and Mexico will materialise.

No Africa side has ever gotten to the finals of the FIFA World Cup since it was commenced in 1934 in Uruguay.

Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal and Ghana were among the teams from the Africa continent to have reached the quarter finals of the world’s prestigious competition.

However, Morocco pulled a big surprise last four years when they got to the semi finals of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The man of God believes this time round the Black Stars will qualify to the grand finale though he did not specify as to whether they will claim the ultimate golden trophy.
