Incoming Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum has selected former Liberty Professionals head coach David Ocloo as his main assistant at the club during his tenure, according to Myfabulousonline.
The two coaches touched down in Kumasi on Saturday to formalize their contract with the Reds.
The former WAFA coach, Narteh replaces expatriate coach Mariano Barreto following his contract termination few days ago as coach of the club.
The outfit confirm that Prosper Nartey Ogum will go with two assistants which has been accepted by the club’s management.
Former Liberty Professionals head coach David Ocloo has been confirmed as the first deputy coach with the other vacant role expected to be filled soon.
The 37-year-old trainer who holds a CAF License A coaching certificate has reputation for an attacking style of play and talent development.
The budding manager has previously worked with Wa All Stars and Maranatha FC of Togo.
He also enjoyed a playing career in Asia for several years.
Meanwhile, Prosper Narteh and his men will be unveiled to the public on Sunday morning.
The midfielder has left the Phobians camp ahead of their Caf Champions League clash with the Guinean side on Sunday
Hearts of Oak midfielder Gladson Awako has reportedly fled from the club’s camp few days ahead of their Caf Champions League clash against Guinean side CI Kamsar.
The 30-year-old joined the Phobians from Great Olympics in an undisclosed fee and although he had a good start in the club’s pre-season games, he has reportedly opted to terminate the contact.
Awako is believed to have reported that he has been constantly attacked by spirits ever since he joined the Phobians. This has made it very difficult for him to sleep and therefore wants to cancel the contract and go back to Olympics.
Although, Hearts are yet to officially make a statement about the reports, Awako was seen leaving the team’s camp earlier this week and has refused to return.
Hearts will therefore meet Kamsar in the preliminary round of the Champions League without him on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in the exercise of its powers under Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes 2019, has fixed Thursday, October 21, 2021 for the Ordinary session of Congress.
Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes 2019 states – The Executive Council shall fix the date and venue for a meeting of Congress. The Members shall be notified in writing at least ten (10) days in advance.
The decision was taken at Monday’s Council meeting at the GFA Headquarters in Accra.
The GFA Statutes provides that Congress shall meet in ordinary session once every football season, usually before the commencement of said season.
In compliance with Article 31 (3) of the GFA Statutes 2019, the formal convocation of Congress shall be made in writing and circulated to the Members of GFA at least seven (7) days before the stipulated date of the meeting of Congress. This convocation shall contain the Agenda, the Activity Report, the Financial Statements and the Auditors’ Report and any other relevant documents.
The event will take place at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram.
The Premier League season will commence on Friday, October 29, 2021.
Ashantigold SC and Inter Allies FC have both been charged by the GFA Prosecutor on counts of misconduct for match manipulation in their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League Week 34 match played at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on July 17, 2021.
After investigations into the acts of misconduct, the GFA Prosecutor charged Ashantigold SC on three counts of misconduct for breaching Article 34(5)(a), Article 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019, Article 18(1) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019.
Inter Allies FC have also been charged on two counts of misconduct for breaching Article 34(5)(a) and Article 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019.
Both Clubs are expected to submit their Statements of Defence to the charges on or before Wednesday, September 22 after which the GFA Disciplinary Committee will adjudicate their cases respectively.
Some Players and Officials of both Clubs have also been charged.
Kits manufacturing company, Umbro have extended their partnership deal with Ghanaian powerhouse Hearts Of Oak until 2023.
The Phobians on Thursday, September 16, 2021, unveiled their new Umbro home and away kits for the 2021/22 season.
The club is expected to use it this weekend when they face Guinean side CI Kamsar in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Umbro has partnered with Hearts since November 2018, and the club’s contract with the UK kit providers runs out in November.

Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak have unveiled their new jersey for the. Upcoming 2021/22 season as they continue to prepare for the Caf Champions League.
The Phobians, who will be facing Guinean side CI Kamsar in the preliminary round of the Champions League next weekend, have been using the same jersey which was provided them by Umbro for two seasons.

But they will finally use a new one for the 2021/22 season after the stunning unveiling on Thursday, September 16.

Asante Kotoko has mutually terminated their contract with captain Felix Annan ahead of the start of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season, AshesGyamera.com can reveal.
The 26-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2011 as a teenager from Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy and although he was sent out to several clubs on loan, he has later risen through the ranks to become the club’s captain.
However, he fell out of favour with the club’s former coach Maxwell Konadu last season and although Konadu was sacked, Annan later fell out with the club’s top hierarchy.
He thus lost his place to Kwame Baah and later Razak Abalora and that affected his involvement in the senior national team.
Although Annan stayed on and tried to fight for a starting place in Kotoko’s squad, it proved fruitless and he has decided to leave the club after ten years. He has become the third player to leave Kotoko after Augustine Okrah and Naby Keita.
Annan, who is currently in United Kingdom, is expected to join his wife in United States of America. Should plans of securing any club fails abroad, he could highly join Medeama ahead of the new season.
He made his Ghana debut in 2019 against Namibia in an international friendly.
