Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club mauled Ghana champions Hearts Of Oak to eliminate them from the CAF Champions League.
Wydad thrashed the Phobians 6-1 at the Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday in the second of the play-offs.
The result means Hearts of Oak drop to the CAF Confederation Cup while Wydad progress to the group stage.

Hearts of Oak suffered an embarrassing 6-1 defeat against Wydad Athletic Club in the second leg of the Caf Champions League at the Mohammed V Sports Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday.
The Moroccan giants have now progressed with an aggregate scoreline of 6-2 after the two legs.
The Phobians head coach Samuel Boadu made two changes in his starting line up that defeated Wydad Athletic Club in the first leg of the Caf Champions League in Ghana last weekend.
He recalled midfielder Caleb Amankwah who missed the first leg due to injury to replace Frederick Ansah Botchway while Congolese defender Raddy Ovouka could not recover from the knock he picked up in the first leg and William Denkyi took over.
After poor start to the game, Hearts conceded to the first goal by the fifth minute through Simon Msuva. El Hassouni added the second goal for Wydad AC four minutes later after a defensive mixup by the Hearts defenders.
Achraf Dari made it three 3-0 by the half hour mark before and Yahya Jabrane added another three minutes to half time from the penalty spot.
Referee Eric Arnaud Otogo Castane from Gabon pointed to the spot for a penalty after he insisted that Hearts goalkeeper Richard Attah had brought down a Wydad AC player.

Although, the Phobians were in search of more goals, they couldn’t find any opening in the hosts’ defence.
Wydad AC after the emphatic victory over Hearts have joined Zamalek, Al Ahly, CRB, Entete Setif, Jwaneng Galaxy, Mamelodi Sundowns and Amazulu as the clubs who have qualified to the group stage of the competition.
The others include Al Hilal, Al Merreikh, Raja Casablanca, Sagrada Esperanca, Petro de Luanda, Esperance Tunis, Etoile du Sahel and Horoya AC from Guinea.
Meanwhile, Hearts have dropped to the Caf Confederation Cup and will have to play another tie before they can qualify to the group stage.
The Phobians are expected to return to Ghana on Tuesday as they make a transit in Dubai.

Keita’s proactivity forced another turnover deep in United territory, with the midfielder duly slipping in Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose low delivery was slid home by Jota.
The only negative throughout a near-perfect half occurred when Milner was withdrawn, with Curtis Jones replacing the vice-captain.
As is so often the case, the game then became the Salah show.
The irrepressible Egyptian stretched his remarkable scoring streak to 10 consecutive fixtures by slamming in Keita’s cross from close range, and he then made it 4-0 in first-half stoppage time by converting Jota’s pass in trademark style via a clinical first-time finish.

It took just four minutes of the second period for Salah to complete his hat-trick.
Jordan Henderson produced a gorgeous, outside-of-the-boot throughball that Salah raced on to prior to clipping a lovely, dinked effort over De Gea.
United were denied what would surely have been a mere consolation soon after when Cristiano Ronaldo had a goal disallowed for offside following a VAR review and the hosts’ misery was compounded further as Pogba was dismissed.
There was an inevitable deceleration to the tempo and incision of Liverpool’s play thereafter, with the visitors allowed to keep the ball at will.
A rising drive by Alexander-Arnold was tipped over by De Gea, before Edinson Cavani contrived to hit the bar from inside the six-yard box to enable the Reds to make it back-to-back 5-0 wins on the road in the top flight.

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of defender Charles Owusu from Division One League outfit BA United.
The club confirmed on Sunday, 24 October 2021, Owusu has signed a three-year contract.
A statement read: ”Versatile Left-back Charles Owusu joins us on a three-year deal from B/A United.”
Owusu did not join Kotoko’s squad in Dubai for pre season as he was on special training at Adako Jachie.
Kotoko have now signed 15 new players for the 2021/22 season.

The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League top scorer has joined the Cairo-based club for an Undisclosed amount from Karel United football club.
The 21-year old was the top scorer in the Ghanaian top-flight having scored 18 goals in 31 games for the Pride and Passion lads lol k.
