Goalkeepers trainer of the Black Stars Richard Kingson has divulged that he will recommend Hearts of Oak left-back Dennis Korsah to the technical team of the Black Stars.

Dennis Korsah who was making only his second appearance for Hearts of Oak against Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium was fantastic throughout the game as the two teams played out a pulsating scoreless draw.

Korsah’s performance earned him the man of the match award. He has also earned plaudits across the country, with a myriad of football followers calling for his inclusion in the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars.

Richard Kingson who as well enjoyed the performance of Korsah has indicated that he will recommend him to the technical team of the Black Stars.

“Dennis Korsah the left back of Hearts was so good as on the day and hopefully I will recommend him to Black stars head Otto Addo and the technical team. He plays so well and I believe he is a material for the Black Stars,” Richard Kingson told Hot FM.

The Black Stars will return to action in March in the playoff of the 2022 FIFA World Cup against rivals Nigeria. The first leg will take place at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana on Sunday, March 27 and the second leg at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29, 2022

Hearts of Oak defender, Dennis Nkrumah Korsah, is full of praise for Asante Kotoko’s striker, Franck Etouga Mbella, after the Ghana Premier League Super Clash.

According to the defender, who was adjudged as the Man of the Match in the Ghana Premier League Super Clash, Etouga is a good striker hence his position on the top scorer’s chart.

Dennis Nkrumah Korsah stated that the Cameroonian couldn’t score in the Super Clash because the Phobians backline defended well against the Porcupines.

“Yesterday was the first time I played against him. Though I watch Kotoko games, and he is a good striker, and he has been scoring. But I think yesterday, he just couldn’t find the back of the net against Hearts of Oak because we encouraged ourselves, we defended well and didn’t give him the space to operate and score,” Dennis Korsah told Kumasi-based Akoma 87.9 FM.

He also praised their goalkeeper Richard Attah for the great saves he made in the game to prevent the Porcupine Warriors from scoring.

“But on a whole, it was a good team performance and credit to Attah for those fantastic saves he made,” he concluded.

Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer, Richard Olele Kingston has disclosed that legendary Ghanaian footballer and Hearts of oak’s midfielder ,Sulley Muntari can never be ruled out from a possible call up into the Black Stars to face Nigeria.

The Black Stars host The Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 25 before traveling to Abuja for the second leg on March 29, 2022.

Ghana is hoping to bypass Nigeria to the World Cup which will be staged in Qatar in November this year.

Following the abysmal performance of the Black Stars team at the just ended AFCON, many have called on the technical team to select good players to face the Super Eagles in the playoffs.

Per his delectable performance during the Super Clash on Sunday , Sulley Muntari who now plays for Hearts of Oak has been named by most fans and some connoisseurs of the game as one of the players the coach of the Black Stars should invite.

Reacting to this in an interview on Hot Focal Sports Show hosted by Stonchist D’Blakk Soulja on Accra-based Hot 93.9FM, Richard Olele Kingston said:

“Sulley Muntari did so well and am sure it will change the scenario about experienced players joining our local clubs, even though his fitness level is not up there, he was good on the day and surely we can’t rule out a call up for Black Stars”.

The 37-Year-old Sulley Muntari, after joining Hearts of Oak, has played three games and yet to register a single goal.

Asante Kotoko Board Member, Kwadwo Boateng Genfi has hinted that the board of directors of the club are considering extending the mandate of Nana Yaw Amponsah as the Chief Executive Officer of the club.

The young enterprising football administrator was named as the CEO of the club in 2020.

Despite losing the Premier League title to their rivals, Hearts of Oak last season, the Porcupine Warriors have been impressive in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

Kotoko finished as league leaders in the first round of the Premier League with 37 points.

With the second round of the season set to return this weekend at the various stadia, Mr Genfi has praised the work done so far by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

According to him, the board of directors of the club are considering extending the mandate of the 2019 Ghana Football Association [GFA] presidential candidate.

“I congratulate our Chief Executive Officer [CEO], Nana Yaw Amponsah for a great job so far for Asante Kotoko,” he told Accra based Rainbow Radio.

“We are considering allowing him to continue beyond his tenure.

“The team is playing well and I pray we win the league title,” he added.

Asante Kotoko will host Dreams FC in the matchday 18 games at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
