Manchester United confirms Joshua Zirkzee deal

Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Joshua Zirkzee has joined the club, subject to registration.

The Dutch forward has signed a contract until June 2029, with the option to extend for a further year.

Zirkzee, the 2023/24 Serie A Under-23 Player of the Year, was Bologna FC’s top goalscorer last season, helping his team qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

CAF Confederations Cup: Nsoatreman FC drawn against Elect Sport FC in preliminary stage

MTN FA Cup holders, Nsoatreman FC,  have drawn Chadian powerhouse, Elect Sport FC, in the preliminary round of the 2024-25 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup competition.

The Ghanaian side will mark their debut appearance in African inter-club competition at home when they host Elect Sport in the first leg of the round before travelling away for the second leg.

The draw ceremony took place at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

The Nsoatre-based side will use the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi as their home venue.

The preliminary round will take place between August 16-18, 2024, and the winner of the tie will face the winner between Algerian side CS Constantine and Police FC of Rwanda in the second round in September.
