Ghana new striker Inaki Williams, after scoring for his team Athletic Bilbao against Cádiz CF on Monday night in the Spanish Laliga, has sustained an injury.
The 28-year-old missed a penalty in the game after opening the scoring in the 24th minute
Williams was subbed for Gorka Guruzeta in the 54th minute after he picked an injury and could not continue the game.
Bilbao won the game against Cadiz by four goals to nil.
New Black Stars striker, Inaki Williams, scored the first goal in Athletico Bilbao’s 4-0 thrashing of Cadiz on Monday night to open his La Liga goal account.
Williams scored the opener on the 24th minute mark with a brilliant finish.
Los Leones swarmed Cádiz in attack and the hosts committed yet another defensive error as Alfonso Espino handled in the penalty area, giving Williams a chance to strike a third goal in three at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.
However, he missed a penalty kick on the 35th minute.
Ledesma made a low stop on the Williams’ penalty kick to give Los Piratas a chance to recover after the break.
Inaki’s younger brother Nico assisted the third goal for the Basque-based side.
Lex Berenguer was connected to by Nico Williams’ flick inside the penalty area, and he quickly added a third goal before Guruzeta added his second in stoppage time.
Inaki was replaced on the 54th minute mark after he picked an injury.
Ghana striker Felix Afena-Gyan has joined US Cremonese on a permanent deal from Italian giants AS Roma.
Though the terms of the contract were not disclosed by the two clubs, Afena-Gyan is expected to have signed a long-term contract.
In addition, Cremonese will reportedly pay €6 million in salary and bonuses, with Roma receiving an additional 10% of future sales.
The 19-year-old joined the Giallorossi’s youth system at the start of 2021, making his professional debut for the club later that same year.
In total, he made 22 appearances in Giallorossi, scoring two goals – both of them coming against Genoa in a memorable substitute appearance in October 2021.
He was also part of the matchday squad as Roma lifted the Europa Conference League in May this year.

The preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League between Rail Club du Kadiogo and Asante Kotoko SC will now be played on Friday, September 9, 2022.
On the other hand, Accra Hearts of Oak SC also have more than five players in the Black Galaxies and may require a postponement.
The cancellation of the Champion of Champions match is to give Champions Asante Kotoko SC ample time to prepare for the Champions League and to afford the Black Galaxies the free room to qualify for the CHAN competition.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken a decision on the Super Cup between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
The cup match is played in the off-season between the winner of the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup the previous season.
Accordingly, victors of the two competitions, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko were billed to lock horns in the Super Cup as a curtain raiser for the 2022/23 football season.
Amid talk that both clubs are considering pulling out of the Super Cup, the Executive Council of the Ghana FA has met to discuss the matter.
At the end of the meeting, the GFA Exco has decided to call off the Super Cup.
The decision is to give both clubs enough time to prepare adequately for the upcoming season.
Already, both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have entered the second phase of their pre-season training.
Kotoko are in Sudan while Hearst of Oak have travelled to the Ashanti Region.
English-born of Ghana descent, Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to join German side, Bayer Leverkusen on a long-season loan deal from Chelsea.
Hudson-Odoi is expected to fly to Germany on Monday for a medical, according to Sky Sports.
The promising forward has failed to make Chelsea’s squad in their first four games played.
Odoi’s move was in danger of collapse 24 hours ago as Leverkusen wanted an option inserted in the deal, but Chelsea only wanted a straight loan.
It will be the first time the forward has been loaned out by the club.
Talks went into the night with Hudson-Odoi’s representative – his brother Bradley – able to convince Leverkusen to take the deal on the terms Chelsea wanted.
Hudson-Odoi and his representatives listened to all offers and spoke to several clubs before deciding Leverkusen presented the best option for his development.
As many as 20 clubs – both in England and in Europe – were thought to have been interested in signing Hudson-Odoi earlier this summer.
The forward came through the youth ranks at Chelsea and has two years left on his current contract, scoring 16 goals in 126 appearances since his first team debut in 2018.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old is expected to switch nationality to play Ghana ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year.

Black Galaxies coach Annor Walker has reacted to the side victory over Nigeria in the 2023 Championship for African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.
The home-based national team recorded a deserving victory over the Super Eagles B team on Sunday in the first leg of the CHAN qualifiers.
Annor Walker and his charges gained an advantage in the tie by beating the Super Eagles 2-0 at the Cape Coast stadium.
Hearts of Oak duo Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Seidu Suraj scored in the second half to ensure Ghana get a resounding win.
Speaking after the game, the former Great Olympics gaffer admitted his side struggled in the first half but is thankful to God for the victory at last.
“In actual fact, it was a difficult game especially in the first half because the Nigerians didn’t allow us to play the way we wanted. So after the first half, we talked to the players to change their mentality and play aggressively like how Nigeria did in the first half. After the break, I think the players changed their mindset and that paid off for us”
“In all, I will say it was a difficult game but all the same God has seen us through”
“we have struggled in the first half in our last two games (Qatar and Nigeria) but against Benin it wasn’t like that because we had the chance to score two early goals in the first half. Karela United have completed the signing of forward Evans Adomako from Asante Kotoko.
Adomako joins the Aiyinase giants on a season long loan deal after passing his mandatory medicals on Saturday.
He becomes the club’s eight signing in the transfer window following the acquisitions of Joseph Dinku, Emmanuel Essandoh, Abdul Rahman Yahaya, Nobert Ackah, Salim Illiasu, Evans Mensah, and Alexander Frimpong.
The 23-year-old spent most of his time playing in Belarus for the likes of FC Gomel, Rudar Velenje and NK Dravograj.
The lethal forward is expected to boost the attack of the Green and Reds as they seek to wrestle back the Ghana Premier League.
The Passioners are currently in Aiyinase having their preseason exercises ahead of the start of the new season next month.
The Aiyinase-based giants will begin their campaign with a game against Tamale City.
