Hearts of Oak will do battle with Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium at 6pm on Sunday.

The Phobians go into the game without a substantive manager six weeks after the departure of Slavko Matic. Hearts of Oak have won two, drawn two and lost one in their last five matches and sits in 5^th place with 39 points.

Nsoatreman FC have dip in form in recent weeks having started the season in a sparling manner – as they lie in 14^th place with 31 points – having won only one game in their last five outings with three defeats and one draw.

Nsoatreman FC have lost 11 and drawn once in their last 12 away matches and have conceded 21 goals in their debut betPawa Premier league season.

Hearts of Oak remains the only Premier league side to beat Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Kronmansah Park following a 54^th minute strike from Kwadwo Obeng Junior. Salifu Ibrahim, Amankwah Baafi, Konadu Yiadom, Linda Mtange, Suraj Seidu and Benjamin York are all available for selection as David Ocloo looks for Hearts of Oak’s 11^th win of the season.

Baba Mahama, Kwame Junior Nana, Watara Shule, Richard Akrofi, Frederick Boateng and Ushau Abu will storm Accra to battle the Phobians having progressed to the semifinal of the MTN FA Cup at the expense of Real Tamale United.

Bechem United suffered a surprising defeat at the hands of Tamale City FC in the Week 26 encounter of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.

Despite taking a comfortable two-goal lead in the first half thanks to talisman Hafiz Konkoni’s brace, Bechem United could not maintain the momentum in the second half.

Tamale City FC mounted a comeback with three second-half goals from Mohammed Yahaya, Clinton Boateng, and Godfred Abban to secure a 3-2 win at home.

The loss is a setback for Bechem United, who were looking to strengthen their position in the league standings and win the Ghana Premier League title this season.

Aduana Stars took a step closer to winning the Ghana Premier League title for the second time by defeating Great Olympics 1-0 on Saturday.

The team from Dormaa had initially aimed to win two domestic trophies this season, but their MTN FA Cup quarter-final loss to King Faisal has left them with only the league to compete for.

In their Week 26 match, Aduana Stars hosted Great Olympics at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Despite few chances in the game, Frank Owusu’s 54th-minute goal proved to be the difference as the hosts secured a 1-0 win over struggling Great Olympics.

With this victory, Aduana Stars have now extended their lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings to six points.

Berekum Chelsea continued their impressive home record with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in the matchweek 26 of the 2022/23 league season.

The Bibires have not lost in their last ten games at the Golden City Park and they accounted for the Porcupine Warriors Friday afternoon.

Kotoko hoped to bounce back to winning ways after their 1-1 stalemate against King Faisal.

Head coach Abdul Gazale trusted youngster Rocky Dwamena to start in midfield alongside Richmond Lamptey and Mohammed Sheriff for the Reds.

In attack, Georges Mfegue, Matheus Medeiros and Steven Mukwala led the challenge.

Chelsea’s Christopher Ennin went for former Kotoko winger Stephen Amankomah right behind Emmanuel Sarpong while Zakaria Fuseini marshalled the defensive line.

Right from the onset, the Blues made their intentions clear and struck the goalpost in the 5th minute.

The hosts then kept attacking but Kotoko’s defence had then settled into the game and began their pursuit for the game’s opener.

But Chelsea held their ground, curtailing any dangerous attacks till the half time whistle.

After the break, the home side searched for an early goal, thereby moving on full force at the Kotoko defence.

In the 50th minute, Chelsea scored through Kalo Ouattara and it meant their guests had to attack to at least get a point from the clash.

The surge upfront by Kotoko opened gaps for the hosts, who capitalized and netted the second goal in the 63rd minute.

The loss is Kotoko’s seventh of the 2022/23 league season. They play Aduana Stars in Kumasi on match-week 27.

Ahead of this afternoon’s Premier League matchweek 26 fixture against Berekum Chelsea, Coach Abdulai Gazale has revealed the starting lineup for Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupines, who emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Berekum Chelsea during their week 9 fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, will now face them at the Berekum Golden City.

However, the team will be without four players who featured in their previous match against King Faisal. Matheus de Souza and Nicholas Osei-Bonsu are sidelined with injuries, while Richard Boadu Agadas and Eric Zeze have been suspended due to card accumulations.

In the absence of the suspended players, Danlad Ibrahim will be in goal, with Augustine Agyapong and John Tedeku playing as full-backs. Mohammed Alhassan and Sherrif Mohammed will take up the centre-back roles for the Reds.

The midfield trio will comprise of Richmond Lamptey, Mohammed Sherrif, and Rocky Dwamena. Meanwhile, Stephen Mukwala, Isaac Oppong and Georges Mfegue will form the attacking line for Asante Kotoko.
