David Ocloo, the deputy coach of Hearts of Oak, has commended his team’s fighting spirit following their hard-earned 1-1 draw against Gold Stars at Dun’s Park.

Despite being on the brink of a defeat on Saturday’s BetPawa Premier League matchday 21, the Rainbows were rescued by Isaac Mensah, who ended Gold Stars’ defensive resilience with a late equalizer to cancel out Evans Owusu’s trademark strike.

When asked if he was pleased with the game’s outcome, Ocloo responded, “Yes. We started with a 4-2-3-1 formation in the first half, but we couldn’t contain them in the middle, so I had to adjust and switch to a 4-4-2 diamond in the second half, and you could see that we dominated play when we came back, and my boys were moving well. We had a clear penalty, but I don’t want to talk about it. The referee denied us.”

“This is the hallmark of a good team. We went down by a goal, but we fought back, and got a draw. I’m impressed, and kudos to the boys,” he said after the game.
